Electronic products
L&H offers a number of electronic dictionary titles, covering a wide range of subject areas. The electronic
dictionaries are available as single-user and multiple-user dictionaries for Microsoft Windows 3.1 and Windows 9x, ME, NT, 2000, XP and Vista.
In principle, L&H's electronic dictionaries contain largely the same information as the printed versions but will enable you to retrieve
information that is not directly accessible in a printed dictionary. Electronic dictionaries constitute a more efficient instrument offering
a wealth of new facilities and time-saving features.
Single-user dictionaries:
- WebWords/PC: The latest 2007 editions based on the online dictionaries published at
www.webwords.dk. These dictionaries are the best choice for new users.
- BookCase editions: Classic 16-bit programs - interact with other publications for the BookCase software
(including dictionaries from various other publishing houses). The BookCase dictionaries are available also as multiple-user versions
to be installed on a local network. Best suited for users who wish to supplement other publications made for the BookCase system.
Please read the notes concerning system requirements.
- Shareware: Lower-cost versions with reduced contents and functionality.
Multi-user dictionaries:
- WebWords: Subscription-based online dictionary system that does not require any software installation
- all communication between you, the user, and the dictionary server is done via your accustomed browser. No rigid user limits. Therefore WebWords
is especially well suited for larger networks.
- BookCase editions: 16-bit multi-user versions with a specific user limit (2 - 999). BookCase dictionaries
are designed to be installed on a local network. Please read the notes concerning the BookCase system
requirements.
