WebWords/PC - electronic dictionaries

The latest addition to L&H's broad range of electronic dictionaries is the WebWords/PC series, which is a single-user program based on our specialized dictionaries.

**WebWords/PC system requirements:**
Operating system Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000/2003, Windows XP, or Windows Vista.
128 MB RAM.
SVGA monitor (800 x 600 or higher resolution) with minimum 256 colours.
10-40 MB free harddisk space per dictionary.
CDROM drive (when installing from a CDROM).

A WebWords/PC dictionary is an efficient tool offering new facilities and time-saving solutions. Some examples:

The program performs extremely fast queries that give you access to all dictionary entries containing the word(s) searched for. This allows you to find a word even if it occurs as the second, third or last word in an entry.
Advanced options to refine your searches, for instance by using the search modes 'Substring', 'Whole words', 'Full match' or 'Fuzzy search'.
If you have both language directions of a dictionary, they will be integrated: For example if you run the English-Danish editon of an English-Danish/Danish-English dictionary and select plus right-click a Danish word, then you get the option of looking up this word in the Danish-English edition automatically. Besides a single click will will be adequate to change language direction.
WebWords/PC offers several possibilities of interacting with other programs, for instance your word processor or a f.eks. et tekstbehandlingsprogram web browser. The interaction is performed by means of a hotkey function or Windows' Clipboard.
You can copy translations/text directly to Microsoft Word or Windows Clipboard and from there you can use the text in any other program capable of paste operations.
You can add your own notes to individual dictionary entries.
A history list keeps track of previous dictionary look-ups. You can repeat any query in the list simply by clicking it.

Network user? L&H offers multi-user access to all our specialized dictionaries via WebWords - an on-line, intuitive dictionary system specifically designed for larger networks.

No operating system dependency. As the system is fully browser-based, WebWords can be used on any operating system capable of running a standard browser.
Ultrafast searches.
Advanced query options will provide you with the search hits you need.
Dynamic updating of dictionary databases, search engine and interface - you and other users are not required to anything.
No individual installation on numerous workstations. No time-consuming upgrades, update procedures etc.
